Eco-Capsule Home (h.c)
Kzn, South Africa
Tucked away in the farmlands, this eco-friendly pod house is designed for a young couple seeking a life immersed in nature. Made from shipping containers and wood, connected by a concrete platform, it offers a modular design that allows for future expansion. Designed to suit a subtropical climate – sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness were the primary design drivers. The contemporary aesthetic features local, recycled materials and timber-like cladding, creating a luxurious yet natural feel. Biophilic design principles enhance the connection to the outdoors, making this home a unique sanctuary.
